Our students are exceptional and our members have really appreciated viewing their work. 50% of all artwork purchases will be used to purchase spot lighting to enhance students artwork. Come and see, appreciate and contribute to the fundraiser. Zion Student "Art Show" Thursday, May 15th (4:30-6:30 PM) Zion Fellowship Center

Principal for the Day
What a treat for Zion! During our annual golf tournament and auction, one of our main items to bid on is Principal for a day! Our first "guest” principal for this month was Adrian Aguilar (7th grade). On 4/23, "Principal Adrian" stepped into Ms. Swanlund’s shoes and saw how the school works. He even surprised us all with a FIRE DRILL! Thank you Principal Adrian for doing a great job and for steering us through the day! Thank You, Thank You, Thank You!
Zion is blessed to have such awesome families. Thank you for your presence and participation at the dinner/auction and golf. Your support means so much to all of us. Thank you, Committee Members and Volunteers for all of your work – before and during the event – you are the best! It looks like all the bills have been paid and all the auction items have been claimed. Congratulations on your fine efforts. We earned just a little over $25,000 for the school. Way to Go, Families! Thank you so much. The Zion Lutheran School 2008 Golf Tournament

Summer Classes Offered
June 11-27, 2008 (8:45-11:45 AM) Taught by Mr. Dan Fischer, this course is designed with two audiences in mind. first, it is students who anticipate taking Algebra 1 next year and would benefit from a "math boost" to insure that their math foundation is adequate to handle the rigors of Algebra I. Zion's Algebra I curriculum is equivalent to ah high school Honors Algebra course. Second, the class offers a different curriculum for students who have already taken Algebra I but would benefit from an intensive three week course designed to solidify and expand their algebra skills. Get Them Uniforms Thanks to all for making the switch – only red or white or blue jackets or sweaters can be worn now that we are in “summer” weather. It looks great to see the khaki or blue shorts or pants (no cargo pockets) and uniform shirts on all our energetic children. Major Market Receipts Major Market contributes 1% of your shopping trip back to Zion Lutheran School. Please get those Major Market Receipts turned in. It’s amazing how they add up. We just received a check for over $900 from our last submission. We’ll be submitting our next batch of receipts for funds on May 2nd. If you have a Middle School Student you may bundle the receipts in groups of $500 or $1000 for credit back to YOUR fundraising account. If you are submitting them for your Middle School fundraising account they MUST BE BUNDLED PROPERLY or they will not be credited to you. The SUB-TOTAL must be circled on each receipt & you must run an adding machine tape of the sub-totals, bundled in groups as close to $500 or $1000 as you can. If you do not have a Middle School Student you can drop your lose receipts off & we’ll take care of getting money back for Zion. You can drop your receipts off in the Finance Office. Thank you for your contributions.
