Subject: Sunday School Attendance
Blessings in the name of Jesus Christ, our risen Lord and Savior! The Board of Parish Education would like to thank you for your continued commitment in raising your child or children in the Christian life. We will remain steadfast in supporting your efforts of continued faith as we bring the Good News to your children through Zion’s Sunday School program.
Sunday School meets from 9:30-10:15 a.m. in rooms 2, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16 and youth room. There will be someone located near the red shed to guide you to the correct classroom. We thank our Sunday School teachers who lovingly and patiently teach the children each week:
Prekindergarten-Kindergarten: Diane Shuster, Sonia Dombroski, Courtney Ocheltree, Meghann Catlin
First-Second: Shayla Hoff
Third-Fourth: Gail Leehey, Michael Richelieu
Fifth-Sixth: Bill Crew
Seventh-Eighth: Allie Kemp
High School: Ted Hemeyer
All Grades: Denny Lindeman
Substitute: Daryl Wendler
Sunday School attendance will be rewarded with prizes and gifts. The child with the best attendance for the Sunday School year beginning Sunday, September 20, 2009 will win the grand prize of either an 1) all expense paid trip to hunt Texas deer and hogs or 2) an all expense paid trip to fish long range tuna on our banks or local banks.
Children will receive one (1) point for on time attendance and a half (1/2) point for late attendance. The child with the most points will have the option of choosing their prize. If we have more than one child with equal points, all will have the same option of choosing their prize.
The class with the best quarterly attendance will go to Denny’s Restaurant for a free children’s breakfast!
We are also looking ahead to a special Christmas Program on Sunday, December 13. We feel that all will be pleased to celebrate the holidays by focusing on the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ.
Your prayers are needed for our Sunday School this year. If transportation is a problem, please contact Bill Crew and we will handle it! Thank you again for bringing your children to Sunday School. We love your children and by the blessings of the most Holy Spirit will teach them about the love, forgiveness and salvation from our gracious Lord and Savior!
