KNOCK YOUTH GROUP (6TH , 7TH, 8TH) NEWS

Dear Parents:

Thank you for entrusting your youth to attend the KNOCK bible study on Wednesday evenings and/or Sunday mornings. Each and everyone of your youth are a blessing to me. The youth group is studying “The Story” which is the bible written as a story. Your youth will know the bible quite well as we are continually going over each section in many ways - videos, play acting, game shows style, artistic board creations and lots of discussions. You are always welcome to stop in to see what we are doing. Just a reminder we meet on Wednesday evening for dinner at 5:15 and at 6pm to 7pm we meet in the mobile room 20 for our bible lesson, and then games from 7 to 7:30 in the gym, then on Sunday we meet again in the mobile room 20 at 9:30 to 10:25.

Following are some of the following events I am planning:

February 12 - National Youth Gathering Information meeting for Parents and Youth. National Youth Gathering is in San Antonio, Texas July 1-5, 2013. Youth ages 14 or going into 9th grade to 20 years old at time of the event can attend. Don’t miss this one we have always had enough fund-raising to pay for all youth attending. 9:30am in Fellowship Youth room down stairs.

Zion VBS 2012
June 18-22 - "Sky" Everything is Possible with God

Vacation Bible School - PandaMania!

Praise God and thanks to all who volunteered, built, painted, and set-up all the sets in the ZFC, donated money and/or special request needs, taught classes, brought snacks, played games with the children, sang songs, took pictures, and everyone else who participated in Vacation Bible School this past week. We want to acknowledge and thank the over 45 young people from Zion’s youth groups that volunteered all week.  We had 179 children on our campus!  Each child learned that God is listening to them…watching over them… and loving them - no matter what!  They learned to love God like never before, serve God like never before, and had the time of their lives doing it!  We give special thanks to Gail Leehey, Lorrie Scarbrough, Tina McLeod and Ted Hemeyer for coordinating and leading VBS and all the volunteers. May God bless each of you for serving Him and these children.
